Ernie Ball Earthwood Strings
Ernie Ball Earthwood Strings are Ernie Ball’s best selling acoustic guitar strings. Their 80/20 bronze guarantees a warm and crispy sound. Especially apt to work with the bigger guitar models like Martins and Taylors, these strings also work well with a wide range of instruments. If you want a bright and crisp sound with a nice brilliant attack, this is for you.
The Earthwood Acoustics are made with a combination of 80 percent copper to 20 percent tin. This alloy complements your instrument’s acoustics to bring out all the natural tones that its capable of. The larger proportion of copper makes this string sound brighter than the 60/40.
Ernie Ball makes their strings by wrapping the bronze around a hexagonal tin plated steel core adhering to the highest industry standard. The hexagonal core is used so that the bronze can be wrapped around the core to ensure it remains tight, which results in a consistent intonation and performance.
